Art and Design
Sarah Lange is a professor of studio art and art history. She holds an MFA in Studio and Fine Art from Parsons School of Design, with additional studies in stained glass at the Edinburgh College of Art and French language immersion at Cégep de Jonquière. A practicing visual artist and author–illustrator, she recently released Bunnies Bear No Venom, the first book in her illustrated children’s series The Knightly Princess. Her work frequently integrates research in art history, folklore, and material culture, especially relating to childhood, identity, and place. She has exhibited her work in New York, Florida, and Texas, and her ongoing travel and research continue to shape the narrative, symbolic, and cultural threads woven throughout her practice. In the classroom, she emphasizes cross-disciplinary thinking, guiding students to connect design principles to broader cultural, psychological, and historical contexts.
